About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.
Assure Safety Pte Ltd intends to offer training to both commercial and residential cleaners.
To deliver quality cleaning outcomes to service buyers, cleaning industries are committed to deepen the technical skillset of the cleaners.
In the near future, the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) will be expanded to cover almost 218,000 workers.
According to Senior Minister of State for Manpower Zaqy Mohamad said the PWM is currently mandatory in the outsourced sectors of cleaning.
As demand for environmental services grows, the sector has to ensure it has the skilled manpower and resources to meet this demand.
It’s all a part of learning new skills and it’s also a win-win situation for cleaner and their employer.
Cleaner gains from their progressive training policies and the company earned recognition.
As a result, Assure Safety plans to provide Cleaning Chemical Handling (Level 2) as a way for cleaners to advance in their careers under the Progressive Wage Model (PWM).
What You’ll Learn
Cleaning Chemical Handling (Level 2) AOP is designed to equip cleaners with the knowledge and skills required in demonstrating understanding of cleaning chemicals, using of cleaning chemicals and the pre and post cleaning preparation and handling and reporting of incident on inappropriate use of cleaning chemicals and transfer the learning acquired to their workplace, which includes:
What learners can do after training
1. Demonstrate understanding of cleaning chemicals according to relevant regulatory requirements
2. Perform the use of cleaning chemicals and pre and post cleaning preparation according to organisation procedures and guidelines
3. Handle and report incidents on inappropriate use of cleaning chemicals according to organizational procedures and regulatory requirements.

Those whose job scope is related to cleaning chemical handling.
Minimum Entry Requirement
Learners should meet the basic entry requirements as indicated below:
1. Ability to read, write, speak, and listen to English at WPL Level 2.
2. Ability to manipulate numbers at WPN Level 2.
3. Education: No formal qualification.
4. 2 years working experience in Environment Services.
Course Content
Individuals who have at least 3 months of work experience in the environmental service industry, particularly as a General Cleaner, or have completed a similar module such as a cleaning course, cleaning course in Singapore, environmental cleaning services course, or WSQ cleaning course, are eligible to enroll in this assessment-only pathway (AOP) module.
This AOP module exclusively consists of assessment.
Ineligible participants may choose to enroll in Cleaning Chemical Handling (Level 2) module, which includes both training and assessment.
Additionally, individuals interested in a basic cleaning course or a cleaning supervisor course can explore relevant training options.
