About This Course

This training is essential to equip the WSH personnel the skills to respond to casualty in a culturally aware, sensitive and respectful manner and use available resources and equipment to make the casualty as comfortable as possible.

2. Recognise types of workplace injuries that affect body parts and body systems

3. Assess emergency scene

4. Respond to casualty using appropriate resources and in culturally sensitive manner

5. Carry out basic first aid management

6. Perform first aid procedures

Minimum Entry Requirement

Our target audience are those who are 18 years old and above whose job scope is related to workplace safety and health for at least 1 year with little or no prior experience in workplace compliance and/or incident management but are interested to upgrade their knowledge and skills in this aspect.

Entry Requirements:

• Minimum lower secondary and/or able to read, write, listen and speak of English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Literacy Level 4; and count to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Numeracy Level 4

• Basic knowledge and general awareness on Workplace Safety and Health hazards, preventions and control measures

• At least 1 year of working experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing or similar industries

• Be motivated to learn

Attendance & Assessment

Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components.

Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.
