About This Course

Assure Safety Pte Ltd intends to offer training to both commercial and residential cleaners.

To deliver quality cleaning outcomes to service buyers, cleaning industries are committed to deepen the technical skillset of the cleaners.

There has been an increase in the demand for cleaning services.

The Tripartite Cluster for Cleaners (TCC) laid out new wage levels and skills requirements for cleaning sector workers in order to recruit a younger workforce, with greater income increments scheduled for the next six years under the Progressive Wage Model(PWM).

Progressive Wage Model (PWM) will be expanded to cover almost 218,000 workers.

According to Senior Minister of State for Manpower Zaqy Mohamad said the PWM is currently mandatory in the outsourced sectors of cleaning.

As demand for environmental services grows, the sector has to ensure it has the skilled manpower and resources to meet this demand.

It’s all a part of learning new skills and it’s also a win-win situation for cleaner and their employer.

Cleaner gains from their progressive training policies and the company earned recognition.

What You’ll Learn

On completion of this module, participant will be equipped with the necessary and relevant knowledge and skill sets in safety and health procedures to be taken when clearing spillages and removing dirt and debris on hard floors and carpet.

In addition, Assure Safety provides a complete set of cleaning materials and equipment for both the trainer and the trainees to use throughout their demonstrations and practices.

Learners before training
• Have difficulties in preparing work activities for horizontal surface maintenance
• Cannot clean and vacuum hard floor and/or carpet
• Cannot reinstate the work area after horizontal surface maintenance

Learners after training
• Can prepare work activities for horizontal surface maintenance
• Can clean and vacuum hard floor and/or carpet
• Can reinstate the work area after horizontal surface maintenance

Minimum Entry Requirement

• No formal qualification or education.

• Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the WPL Level 2.

• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to WPN Level 2.

• Can handle very routine entry-level jobs that do not require oral or written communications in English and in which all tasks are easily demonstrated.

• Have knowledge on own work role and corresponding responsibilities.

• Have knowledge of the cleaning agents used in performing cleaning activities.

• Age from 18 and above.

Attendance & Assessment

Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components.

Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.

• Absentee Payroll Claimable: $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year
