Topic 2: Safety Procedures and Signages: Following the introduction to cleaning procedures, the focus shifts to safety measures and protocols. Learners explore workplace safety and health procedures, including the relevant regulations (WSH Act) and the importance of displaying safety signage. Understanding safety procedures is crucial for ensuring the well-being of both workers and clients during cleaning operations.
2. Learning Unit 2: Equipment Selection and Organizational Protocols
Topic 3: Mechanical Devices for Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning: With a solid understanding of cleaning procedures and safety measures, learners delve into the selection and usage of mechanical devices for cleaning carpets and upholstery. This topic builds on the foundational knowledge acquired in Topic 1 and emphasizes the importance of selecting the right tools for the task.
Topic 4: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Finally, learners explore the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and organizational protocols related to cleaning operations. Minimum Entry Requirement
1. Possess Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 2 proficiency in speaking, listening, and reading English, and demonstrate Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 2 skills in handling numbers or
2. Have at least three months of work experience in the environmental service industry as a General Cleaner or have completed a similar module.
Attendance & Assessment
Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components. Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.
