About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Cleaning Sector.
LO1: Interpret different types of EPRPs and emergency scenarios
LO2: Interpret the EPRP lifecycle based on PDCA model
LO3: Obtain appropriate resources when responding to emergency scenarios
LO4: Respond to emergency situations and assist in the conduct of emergency response drills in accordance with EPRPs
LO5: Identify and alert supervisors of potential escalation of emergency situations promptly and accurately
LO6: Participate in improving the emergency response plans
What You’ll Learn
To equip the cleaning and/or waste management workers the skills to participate in emergency response drills and suggest improvements to Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.

General Cleaner / Cleaning Supervisor, Waste Collection Attendant / Waste Collection Supervisor, Waste Disposal Worker / Waste Disposal Supervisor
Minimum Entry Requirement
– 18 years old and above whose job scope is related to environmental services (e.g. general cleaning and/or waste management) for at least 3 months.
– Minimum primary school level and/or able to read, write, listen and speak of English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Literacy Level 2; and count to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System (ESS) Numeracy Level 2.
– At least 3 months of working experience in general cleaning and/or waste management industries.
– Be motivated to learn.
Attendance & Assessment
Kindly note that you are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance and be certified competent in all the assessment components.
Should you fail to meet the attendance/assessment requirements and/or terms and conditions of SSG’s funding, you will not be eligible for the course fee funding and will have to bear the full course fees.
